Ectos: save them or sell them?
A long time ago when ectos were going cheaper I bought some from the trader at 7k (since it was considered cheap at the time) as I was planning to buy one or two fow pieces. I never ended up buying them (really glad I didnt) but now they'll only sell for like 5k to people (I was holding onto them for a while). Should I sell them now before their price drops even more or am I better off saving them for the future?....I plan on stickin around for eotn. Sorry if it's a dumb question but I've never really got into the game market and how prices change. Any adivice would be appreciated

Nobody can give a definitive answer to this. It's just like the stock market in real life, even the best analysts have it wrong often.
But I can give my point: I don't think Ecto's will get much higher. With the change of the economy since the hard mode update, there is less gold in the market and ecto's are a bit easier to farm. If I would guess, the ecto's will stay around the current 5k level. However, things may change in Eye of the North. Nightfall brought trade contracts which flooded the market with sapphires and rubies for some time, lowering their prices from 8-9k to 2-3k. There is no indication that ANet will make something like that for Ecto's, but if they did, this will have an effect on the market again. |
